How to Hide Non-Leaf Members/Parent Levels in a Report

There are two different ways to hide non-leaf members (parent levels) in a report. It involves turning non-leaf members to a null value and asking Analyzer to hide all null values. You can either do this on the cube side or in Analyzer since the basic MDX is the same.

Below are two pivot tables with the same result. One has been done through Cubes and the other has been done with Analyzer Calculated Measures.

Here is how you write the calculated measure in Analyzer:

Then make sure that the pivot table hides all null values (in Pivot Table Detail Settings).
